While the hubby's away...

...the chickens will play! (in the house, lol!)

Had to bring my broody, Big Bird, in for some snuggling and mealieworm time.

As you can see, @rjohns39 canned salmon worked wonders!!!! :bow

Mental health day is working its magic! My chickens are *therapy chickens.* Now if I could just figure out some way to outfit them in little yellow vests and bring them to work...

Yep I've come to the conclusion if i want the snowglobe I'm going to have to move it. Stuck the patch back on and watched him yank it off and shake it like a little goofy dog so he knows what he's doing. I should have not even thought it was going to go smoothly with him, last year's roo ignored the stupid thing but this guy takes his job much more seriously. :)
The roo is protecting you and the girls from that awful monster.:lau:lau

oh my goodness she is cute! I have been wondering about all you people who bring your chickens in the house. Don't they poop all over. I bring mine in occasionally to give them a bath, or medicine but I don't let them walk around. I would love to but my DH would have a fit if they pooped on the floor

I drove home in a mess last night! Took me twice as long as usual. Had to go around an accident. People drive like such a-holes in horrible weather. I give ample spin out distance. Why someone would chose to ride almost in my blind spot for a few miles then pass me to tail some other poor person is beyond me.

I did have fun running the plow this morning though. Something so satisfying about clearing all the snow away.

My ‘Austrian’ Cattle Dog had a blast too. Something about the snow makes her forget her ancestors are from a hot continent.

What got me hooked on salmon was a young poult hatchling with wry neck. This was before I learned about nutri-drench. I was looking for something, anything that I had in the cupboard rich in Vitamin E and selenium. I learned from a friend that curled toes are best treated with Beef Liver... So as I started reading the nutritional profiles of different things, I pretty much fell in love with liver and salmon. Combining with egg makes a ton of since, since the egg has the amino acids in perfect balance for a chicken. A lot of folks think of eggs high in protein, but they're only about 12%.

She's so pretty, and sweet. God, I love her. How did I ever live a chickenless life?!

I really am prejudiced, but I think she is just gorgeous! Even though--as I was typing this--she squirted out a big stink-patty on my jammies.
You need one of Stacey's mask diapers.

We got nothing in the way of wind or wet. An occasional light breeze but that's really it.

Normally we are on our 5th snow by now. They are going to end up limiting water use and fining if someone waters on the wrong day. I will be putting in a drip system so I don't waste water.

I have a neighbor that has taken issue with Hubby's tow truck being here. I am sure we will see more issues out of him this summer.

He got really weird after his car wreck a few years ago. I think he had head trauma and I try to be understanding BUT.....SHEESH!
You'd think after that he'd like having a neighbor who had a tow truck.

Is there any way you can apply the patch from the inside?

Stank-patties the gift that keeps on giving. ;)
