Official Squatch Watchers

Smuv, hope you feel better soon! Hot compresses and vicks vaporub....

Workin on it Mama!!!!!

LOVE THE LEGWIRE!!

Sure beats running around stressing everyone out!
It is great that he actually shows how to shape it AND use it.

Great for chickens. Do not use for ducks though. It injures their legs if held by them. They cannot be safely carried by the legs either. Putting that out there in case folks don't know that.

Great idea RJ. :thumbsup

Something new I learned today! Thanks!

Smuv, do you have peppermint oil? Chamomile, lavender tea? local Raw honey? rosemary oil? citrus oil of a fruit you like? The essential oils need to be food grade. You really only need the peppermint, but rosemary is good for respiratory issues (internally... Oregano is too) and the citrus is really there just to cut the rosemary with something you like. DW does orange, I do grapefruit.

Put a table spoon or two (what ever you like) of honey in the bottom of a medium large coffee cup (civilian standard not military standard), add 10-12 drops of peppermint, 4-6 drops of rosemary and a couple drops of citrus. Fill with water and microwave for two minutes. Stir it up and add the tea bag. Cup your hands over your nose and the cup and inhale through your nose while the tea steeps. If it starts to burn give it a rest. NO BURNING! The aroma therapy will loosen up your sinuses, be prepared for runny eyes too. Sorry its a real side effect. Then drink the tea. Continue to sniff as you drink. This blend also helps DW when she has tummy issues (I have no idea why, another side effect).

I have ALL THAT, however, I could MAYBE do 1tsp of honey, as it is still sugar, which gives me heart palpitations. I'll keep your recipe though. I've done a nebulizer treatment, which has seemed to help clear me up a BUNCH.

I would be offended....but i can't be the derp is real but it's adorable. :)
I understand. The exact same thing happened to my Father. He started with a small flock of 6. Lost both his SS, but the 4 black australorps are all still going strong for now :fl. We didn't start researching resistance etc until later.

But I still have faith that some of yours will pull through! :fl:fl:fl And I personally interpret it as a sign that we should all get a bunch of super derpy faverolles like @Chickassan has. As a precaution. Cause we are responsible. (And I love the really fluffy breeds) <3

This morning was craptastic, cold as a witches teat, all the water frozen solid. I had to bring the roo in to work on his foot, he broke a feather so i removed the shaft and corn starched him up. The whole time I'm listening to hubs go on about how much attention the chickens get. I made the roo some oatmeal and let him eat in the kitchen just to rile him up...big cry baby.;)
:lau:gig

So sorry Cappy! How devastating!
Yeah, here i thought i was going to be able to sell chicks of 2 breeds... not! But the Polish are doing better, so far lost only 1 of 12 and it was the best looking cockerel. Ugh.

The whole time I'm sitting on the edge of the bathtub with that goofy roo sitting on his butt in my lap with his stubby little midget legs sticking out. I wasn't in a mood to be trifled with. :lau

I'm not kidding in the least when i say they're the weirdest chickens I've ever had. Not in a bad way either, but they really, really do need you to look after them. Totally different ballgame. ;)
