Official Squatch Watchers

PBM!
You sound like a new more confident you! Things will be better!

I like it!

Molpet,
My roosts are just 20" high. She is up and down during the day. Sometimes as I am moving birds to get to her she gets up and manages to hop up where I moved birds. Maybe I have other fat butts not leaving what she sees as enough wing room. I do keep a lot of shavings in the landing zone too.
The first few times I found her there it freaked me out. Thought she was horribly sick.
Oh and there are 3 roosts at 8' long with 24 birds in there.
I may downsize next fall. Stupid sex links are mean as heck and smaller then my leghorn.

I had a good day but started out crappy when i discovered yet another speckled sussex dead:hit. I think it was my spare cockerel who never looked good since the move to the big coop. I did not look hard yet because i was in a hurry to meet up with the lady about the bunnies and have not steeled myself to the task .
But i got my 2 bunnies for a bargain price, and they are settled in the goat shed with a box of hay to cuddle in.
Did some shopping and got the cutest dang toy.... it is a pick up truck with a stock trailer and a herd of goats to go in it, babies and all. On sale 40% off at TSC! :loveGot another axe as well, great price. But they were out of mallow cups! Luckily i have extras put aside.:clap

Mt ST helens and tsunami too... I watched too many PBS specials on those LOL... is there an area there that gets sunshine? maybe by Bend Oregon? I think that is pr
icey though... I forgot to add sunshine to my oz list LOL
Oz is sunny ......and has a beautiful field of poppies. Not to mention flying monkeys........who doesn't love flying monkeys

Hi Squatchers! Just popping in real quick...

Going back to work (aka "The Hellhole") tomorrow.

Happy New Year, y'all. :)

PBM, bad management/bad leadership is never your problem. A good leader is willing to do what ever is necessary to take care of the troops. I am more than willing to work side by side with all my folks. And I listen to their suggestions. I've never been "too good" to do a job. And I don't expect anyone to do something I'm not willing to do. I once had the opportunity to negotiate evidence based standards between the authors of the standards from the us and the international community... my approach was david dumbshit. "i don't understand what's different... I'm actually listed in the publication that resulted from the conference. The key to good leadership is to be willing to live the life you expect others to live. and unfortunately i have found nurses way less willing to do that. They tend to eat their young.

I think the best thing that ever happened to me was being a nursing assistant before getting my degree. I would never ask a CNA to do something I wouldn’t do. I have worked with so many nurses who just got their degrees and bosed the CNA’s around. I do not like pompous, pretentious people.
