He will be busy fixing up the outdoor kennel, building a new dog house, getting age appropriate toys together.

Heck I am going to be making new cushions for the sofa downstairs. We decided a washable cover is needed and the 6 cushions should be just 2 for ease of maintenance.
We do allow dogs on sofas here. :D

Yes tumble weeds of hair. Kinda like in that town that gets buried in them.
;)

Sleeping off and on. My hair is all spiky, I look like Johnny Rotten!

Only dropped to 14° in the coop last night. We hit low single digits in the night.
Supposed to go - digits tonight. Gonna pick up more pine shavings today.
Really contemplating a heat light....makes me so worried.

Thoughts anyone?
I put one in my coop last night . The poor birds have Mereks. I am sure i would have had a dead bird this morning if i had not. But... i built a wire and wood cage with an access door to change the bulb. The cage is screwed to the wooden divider about 3 feet from the floor. And the light is covered with hardware cloth so the birds can't connect with the bulb. Hubby hates when i use one. But i feel like they need it right now.

We hover around 0* at night. Don’t think we went into the negatives last night but they predicted to drop -3*. I have a large 10.5” brooder light with the cage. A red heat bulb. I thought about using a timer...
I’m not sure how warm it will get it there. Don’t want them to be too used to it. Just keep the chill from killing them.
