24 in the coop and temps going up. Heat is off. So nice to not have to worry. Crappy weather coming in tomorrow... Supposedly. Snow sleet, etc., but ABOVE FREEZING!

I have a cage trap. They are so cute!!! I tried to use big rat traps and it ended up mangling their feet. One drug the trap to the edge of it’s entrance and pulled himself out.
We had one caught in a rat trap, I put it in another cage, it got loose, ran down the stairs and through the house. We got it outside and the son filled it with BB’s. Broke my heart!!!

They are suckers for treats and enjoy being picked up and sitting in your lap.
I'll have to look that up. I don't know what a creole Orpington is.
Mine have a few freckled feathers on their tail. Lol. But that's because I got them from a hatchery apparently. "Poor breeding"
I don't care though. To me they are lovely.

I know, they are so cute with the big eyes but they are making a huge mess up there. I wonder if they would use a squirrel house?

There are Flying Squirrel houses, I am sure you could make one. Just wonder it they would use it? Supposedly they are drawn back to places because of pheromones, urine and poop. I guess you could collect some and put it in the flying squirrel house. I see all their little trails in our attic.
