Today I stuck and egg in my pocket and forgot about it and crushed it, for the first time. I let the chickens out to run around in the yard this evening. Odin looks like crap. Oil all in his feathers. Tail looks like it went through a wringer. His comb looks good. Only one tip looks bad and he has a spot on the back where *someone* had bitten him. His waddles have white around the edges, but it looks like the flesh under is viable.. I'm going to put some of the green goo stuff on it after we get through this next freeze to help it heal. Not sure if the blukote would be better or not, but I feel like the salve would be more protective. Willie has a couple black tips on his comb, nothing too bad. All the girls seem good and were happy to be outside again. I was surprised no one went under the trees to try a dust bath, but they did peck around the yard for about an hour.

Wish I could help but I have only dealt with it once and it was super minor. I have no idea which med is better.

ANYWAY.....

Went to Kroger. Damn near every shelf was wiped out... almost looked like FL when a hurricane is coming... sheesh! We're getting ice and snow people....for like ONE DAY..... have a pb&j and suck it up buttercup!!!

I am in my comfy jammies and have NO PLANS to leave the bed for 24 hours... unless I gotta pee... then I might get up.. :gig

I keep quite a bit of preserved food downstairs at all times. No pre-blizzard stockups needed here. :wee Silly people think the roads are gonna vanish for good.

Something in my back popped earlier, plus I have severe muscle strains in my upper back/shoulders and joints.... so, DH is gonna give me some MEDS (not drugs), so we hit up Kroger so that the PIC and DH could load up on crap food for the weekend. I let them blow out their taterholes when I don't feel like dealing with the kitchen. We actually have plenty of food in our pantry and tucked away in freezers.. we even can cook if our electricity goes out or gas as well.

This is Grey Stuff (leghorn/? roo daddy and a Dominique mama). He is 9 months old. I need to send him to freezer camp, but he is a handsome booger, if a complete tater. Looks like his wattles got the worst of the cold.

Sorry, i am whacked out today. Maybe i need new drugs. Going to see a new Doctor tomorrow. Hubby got pulled over by the PO lice for passing 3 cars at once. Apparently that is not legal in VA on rural roads.:confused:
 
Ok this hospital is really freaking me out. Nite nurse comes on the 1 told you about nice hair, pretty. The exact same thing tonight. Not only that all day people coming & going, as posted this isn't a big unit, now nothing. Oh & get this we go to the cafeteria it says closed, just scraps if you want. I says to the lady the sign says on our floor 6: 30 & 10:30 grill. No close at 4. I said just today no at 4. Total creep factor & where was this grill, I didn't see it earlier either or their hrs :eek:welcome to the nightmare :frow
