Hubby got here to jump the truck as I was starting the car. Truck is idling and being stared at by me.

It is old and so is its battery. We had a cold snap that took out my car battery completely. The truck *should* be able to recover since I have a deep cycle battery in it.


Ran clean water through after I used it last time so should be good to go. I am terrified of mixing chemicals. My friend in HS nearly died from the bleach/ammonia mix.

Please share with us what 60 degrees feels like tomorrow.. spare no details. I'll be horribly jealous, but it'll help to know that 60 degrees does exist somewhere in the world and may come back here someday.


If you're going to use the same sprayer, put clean water in it and spray it out through the sprayer so you'd don't mix chemicals.. don't need you passing out in the coop & getting eaten alive.
TSC will def have it. They generally carry it in 2-3 sizes so they should have something. I think I got the middle size which is more expensive (but costs less / oz), but you won't have to buy it again for a while.

Guys, I feel awful. My beloved, dumb as a rock cochin Bubbles looks like a turken
She is missing so many neck feathers. I think/hope/pray it is only the result of over preening and other attempts to attack the nasty crawlies on her but I still feel horrible for not realizing earlier that something was wrong

Will the feathers grow back soon? Or will she look like that until she goes through her first adult moult?
