Official Squatch Watchers

Well, the boys get a reprieve... Scalder won't stay lit. ARG :he Gotta drain it and turn it upside down to trouble shoot. Either got a bug up in the gas line or a problem with the controller.
I was using a turkey fryer and had issues w/it.. I now turn up the house water heater and it reaches 160f, put 2 1/2 gallons of water in the fryer pot and wallah:celebratewhen the water is too cool it's to dirty anyway
but I only do 4 or 6 birds at a time...

umm I did the 4th of July cockerels in Oct and the labor day ones the first Jan thaw... I like them spaced out a bit, have fresh chicken every few months.. if it warms up... last year the labor day and halloween were done in the spring... a bit hectic for a bit LOL
Hopefuly I will have some decent weather when the halloween and Thanksgiving are ready this year.
I'm looking for a good knife for processing any recommendations

I have a gas grill and a tamale pot works for me

Sending memos to your chickens to only reproduce females!

If this works let me know! I'd love to hatch but can't find a solution to too many boys that I can handle.

No bacon is ALWAYS an emergency!! And thank you @Anansi for breakfast!

Sounds terrific!!! We lived in Hell Paso TX for 7 loooong years... and I'd rather go to Ohio than back to Texas ever again :D

:smack smart ass

....... do humans go swimming every day? No... but they DO dip a toe once in a while....... wouldn't that make humans MOSTLY land based...... so I am MOSTLY GF.... but I DO enjoy a bowl of soup that contains barley, and may have other foods that contain some or trace amounts of gluten : https://www.drperlmutter.com/eat/foods-that-contain-gluten/
