@KikisGirls
I found a bunch of my picture posts for you. I think two of them have pics of my chickens, but the rest should have Milk Drinker pictures in them.

Uhhhh..... Last I looked, the Milk Drinker was on the inside of the playpen......

Heaven help us....
In totally unrelated news, I just bought this.

Incidentally, it is taller than the old playpen and doesn't have those handy X cross-bars for MD to climb up.
Now he is using his new-found powers to pull toys off the top of the dresser.

@staceyj Here is a picture of my reigning Buff roo, Inca. Sorry I couldn't get a clearer picture. He is camera shy.

This is Grey Stuff (leghorn/? roo daddy and a Dominique mama). He is 9 months old. I need to send him to freezer camp, but he is a handsome booger, if a complete tater. Looks like his wattles got the worst of the cold.

Oh and my FIL fixed the coop and made some improvements (the roof is now on hinges). YAY! I don't have to worry about critters getting my birds tonight.
Oh and the Milk Drinker got some new digs today as well. No more escaping baby, for now.

The Milk Drinker fell asleep while playing. Exactly why I have a pillow in his playpen.

I love the little pliers in his hand.
I have to work. No time for a nap.
Look what that cute little ear left on my arm. After I took the pic of him sleeping, I picked him up, let him sleep nurse, and put him in his crib. I found that on my arm after I put him down. View attachment 1239917
Good afternoon everyone!
I'm back from church. I took some chicken pictures (will follow shortly), cleaned up a Milk Drinker with poo up his back, had my lunch, read MD a story (I taught him the sign for "read" so he can request story-time and he just started using the sign today), and vegged a bit.
I really need to kill off some roosters. Tomorrow would be an excellent day to do it, but we need to get our van in the shop, me and MD to the Chiropractor, and our outdoor kitty to the vet (general check-up and seeing if she needs to be spayed). I think I have enough to do tomorrow and I'll plan to do in 3 of them on Saturday. I have 9 I need to do in. 2 Leghorn crosses that are 8 months old, a New Hampshire and a Delaware that are 9 months, and 5 Black Cochin/Dominiques BSL boys. I think I might wait a while on the BSL guys. But they are 17 weeks now so they are a good age for eating. I think I'll power-wash the coop tomorrow afternoon, like I was talking about doing.
Chicken Surprise is looking nice. It is a month old now.

Definitely not full buff though. I'm thinking it is a Delaware mix.

But with the color in those wattles, I think I have another cockerel on my hands.

Here is a good picture of Inca, our Buff Rooster. I'm loving the white in that one tail feather.

Here is one of my Buff girls.

My Dominique/Buff girls have come out of their molt looking quite lovely!

My Dominique/RIR girl looks like she's half gone. She's in molt now and looks miserable.

Before the really cold weather hit, I was considering if I needed to cull this Dominique hen. She had almost no feathers for 2 months and was hiding all the time. She also has a very pendulous rear, which made her look deformed. Now she looks amazing. I'm glad I didn't cull her.

This is Big Head. Our Leghorn/EE girl who lays mint green eggs. She looked horrible for a while but she looks like a new bird now.

Molasses, looking good as always. So handsome!

Decided to include one of my New Hampshire pullets as well. Just for the heck of it.

Over all, I think my birds are happy with this weather (Mid 50s).

Hello everyone!
Sadly, the Milk Drinker didn't sleep well last night, so neither did DH or I. He slept until 3:30am when he woke for his first feeding, but his nose was stuffy so he couldn't nurse well so he woke up more completely. He didn't really get back to sleep until 5:30 or 6 and woke up again around 8. He just went down for his nap. I wish I could join him, but I have to work *grumble-grumble*. I predict that he'll sleep for 3 hours or more. I hope he goes to sleep early tonight.

Just got the Milk Drinker to sleep. My parents got their bathtub installed today and I was able to give him a bath in a nice steamy bathroom. That is harder to do in our house. It seemed to help clear out his sinuses a good bit. Hopefully that helps with his breathing tonight.
Cute little stinker

I’m heading to bed soon too. Just got the Milk Drinker asleep.
The boy got his daddy’s eyelashes. I’m jealous.

The Milk Drinker didn’t want to settle down and nurse to sleep for his nap today. So, I put him down in the playpen.
15 min later....
