The useless guys still have not finished up work on the goat barn! They were supposed to come today but put it off until friday. Can you believe they started Oct 21st?

How long did the contract say it would take?

May be time to set some expectations with the one in charge.

Anyone tried this yet? I rarely drink soda but one of the guys here at work brought this in for me. It's ginger lime diet coke and Its delightful!

I had no idea they even had such a thing.

I quit soda a couple years ago. It sounds interesting.

I had a double yolker from one of my pullets.

I've gotten double yolks before but always complete, separate yolks. It was just odd. If I would have been quicker I would have taken a picture.

Idk, hubby is in charge of this mess. I am fighting with myself to stay inside and rest. I want to get some work done but still feeling tired from being sick.

They don't get paid until they finish. But they blow whatever money they have so not even gas money to get here unless they do some other job. It's ridiculous!

Hello my peeps!

I’ve been busy working all day. Migraine is MUCH better. I’m keeping my hair out of the Milk Drinker’s reach so he can’t tweak my neck again.

He got so wound up after lunch that he couldn’t settle down to sleep while I was holding him. When he gets like that he starts grabbing everything and makes it impossible for me to work. So, into the playpen he went to work out his wiggles. 15 min later...

This is exactly why he has a pillow in his playpen. I used to feel horrible when he would fall asleep on the hard floor. Plus, he falls asleep while playing more often when there is a pillow for him to lay on.

I currently have at lease a rat or two coming to dinner right before sunset when I take up the food for the night.
I sets traps.
They laughed.
Someone sprang all 3 traps, licked the peanut butter out of them and chewed one all over.

Set them again the next day.
Sprang 2,
ate the peanut butter,
stole one trap.
Ransacked my own yard looking for it. Nothin.

Peeked over all my neighbors fences (with a monocular no less), didn't see it anywhere!

Then I put out the battery operated electric one.
Accidentally killed a squirrel with that one within an hour.
Put that back in the garage.
Felt too bad.

Then I gathered supplies and made (2) of the ones with the 5 gallon bucket, wire, can coated with peanut butter and ramp.

Heard lots of laughter over them and found the cans licked clean the next morning.

Need more peanut butter...

Look up this guy Shawn Woods on YouTube. That is his channel name. He tests out mouse, rat, squirrel, mole, vole, gopher traps (live and kill traps) and videos how they work. He always puts motion cameras (the kind that takes video with motion) so he can see how his traps are performing and see if they need any adjustments.

The do have dual purpose birds, like orps... but it may be harder to eat them once you get attached to them. Everyone's different though. Some people can do it. You could get a straight run of dual purpose and keep the girls and eat the boys, thought they say once the males hit maturity they're not as delicious ( better for soup or stew).

Congrats! I always get excited when I hit a record too.

Rae, After feeling pretty confident in the baby jail, image my horrification to find the 18 month old GD at the top of the spiral staircase after escaping baby jail. That was almost as bad as when she brought me my butcher knife off the counter.

When my oldest was 2 I caught her sitting on the couch in my mom's living room w/ a cigarette in her mouth and a lighter in her hand trying to light a cigarette. I was so pissed.. after that my mom wasn't allowed to smoke anywhere near where my kids could see her after that.

Remember last week when we were taking about our locations and how us squatchers are all (mostly) spread out?

We have a few west coasters.
We got a bunch in "the middle".
Some south easterners.

I'm way over by "the edge".

Yesterday I went to the beach to take a walk.
I must have hit it at just the right time of day because there weren't even any surfers out there.

It was cold (for here) and windy. But it was so pretty and smelled so good.

Is it like coke w/ ginger and lime? I'm not a cola fan, but I've wondered if they're any good.
