Official Squatch Watchers

Morning squatchers. I hope your morning was better than mine. I got into a huge fight with my mom. She's at the ski slope now with the other kids. My throat hurts from screaming at the wall after she left.
Prayers for a better Morning Ruby. Being a hormonal youth is not easy. Took me a while to learn to count to 10 before replying. I found replying in anger doesn't help my cause. Do not let your mom steal your joy. :hugs

morning all...:frow I skipped 114 posts to get here. Let me know if I missed anything important:caf

ruby, you're going through what I affectionately refer to as the mother daughter thing. The good news is it only lasts for a couple years and in twenty or so years the two of you will be laughing about it. I really feel badly for your Dad as he probably doesn't understand that this is an all girl party. I'll tell you my story and that of my neighbor, so if nothing else it will make you smile.

My story: My friend who successfully raised three daughters warned me that when this starts, stay out of it. They will be laughing and carrying on one minute, screaming at each other the next and then crying after. A little while later, they'll be laughing and carrying on again like nothing happened. Of course, I didn't heed his advice and weighed in on the screaming phase on DW's side. DW bent my beak. So I learned that I don't get it and I'm not invited. So I just hid for the rest of it... And it passed. Today DD and DW chat about the fact that DD is soon to go through it as Mom and they chuckle about it.

My neighbor's story: I warned him as he was approaching the time when this all happens. He, like me, ignored my advice. One day he came over to the house for a beer and solace... He had gotten in the middle of the mother daughter thing and got his beak bent by his DW. We're sitting on the deck chatting when DD walks out and wants to know what's up. I tell her and she immediately yells across the deck to his DD and DW that he just doesn't understand that's its an all girl party.:lau:gig Didn't do a lot to make him feel better but the two girls on the other side of the deck were laughing their butts off.:old

ETA: BTW, after having been through it and watching others go through it, I still don't understand it, but know it's just something that is built into nature and will happen.

We women can be a handful sometimes....when our hormones kick in we don't even recognize ourselves.

You did miss a pretty cool pic I posted of a bald eagle and a herd deer in a field near my house. It was an awesome sight for sure
