We had a TON of blackberries the year before last, they just grew up in the side yard over the years. Then this past year -nothing. My dad bought a backhoe and cleared out a section, but it shouldn't have had any affect on the plants on the other end so IDK what the deal was. Hopefully this year is better.I am almost as bad, but not quite yet... I let the blackberries grow by the garage and the house because they give more berries there than anywhere else.. I have a row in the yard I have babied and they still do not produce as much as the ones growing in inappropriate places..the ones by the garage are growing in gravel over weed barrier... go figure
The other mom I'm rooming w/ found an Airbnb that's in Ocean City about 1/2 hr away so that's not too bad. It's $900, but we're seeing if another mom wants to stay w/ us as it's 2 units & 5 rooms total.. If so it'd be wayyyyy cheaper than anything else we've found, plus it's right on the beach... of course, it means more bridges.Hey!
I hate big water bridges too!!! But yet I've always lived near water.
In some states the state highway patrol will have an officer get in your car and drive you to the other side. Check into this.
Also check out airbandb.
Much cheaper than a hotel in most cases!!!
Your jamon is much larger that I would have expected.

Seriously, are you sure you're in Texas? How is everyone today it was 30 mph wind today and in the 20's this morning suppose to rain all day tomorrow
Right now we're looking at a place in Ocean City if we can get another mom to go in with us, then the venue is another island over, but it looks like there's a bridge that will take us over to another bridge to get to the same area of where we need to be. The house we're looking at is in the blue circle, red circle is about where the venue is. I don't think it'll be too bad, but it'd be much more desirable to stay closer. Unfortunately it's sooooo freakin' expensive. Personally... I couldn't care less about the beach part. What route are you planning on ? Since I've spent a lot of time running between DC and Indiana and DC and ACY I might be able to put you on a smaller bridge.
I use them too. They are awesome!
In DC area, there are companies that will drive you across the bridges.
Evening all, it's been a long day![]()
Did you have to clear out whole shelf in your fridge for it?
This is so us. LMAO!GUYS!!!! I finally figured out what our chat thread most reminds me of.... Anyone seen "While You Were Sleeping" ?
I'm assuming you could use the bone for soup, right? I can't see just throwing it out after all you've been through together.Actually, the Iberico was around the same price, but it was MUCH smaller in size. This Serrano is almost 17#s.
PS. I almost lost my chit when a reviewer said something about cutting this meat up in HUNKS for *soup later*.
Who the hell has THAT kinda lunch money I asks yas!!!
Knee high boots, or thigh high?I put boots on my legs every day
Oh you know that you will sneak a fantastic ham sandwich in now that you now it will be fantastic. Just so we are clear the aged Swiss is best with jamon wink wink![]()
for you both
The same reason I hatch eggs it's more of a investmentI can tell ya Sammy, it WAS fun... but it became exhausting after awhile. I tried using the auto turners, and both of them broke, so you can't rely on them. When we get our Buckeyes, we'll still have to use incubators, but that will be an investment in our future, not just for fun.
Sammy,
What colors are your BC? How old?
The only ones I have had go broody were my full black ones. Taters I don't think my very poorly marked silver laced even lays eggs.
I was told that once the cockerel reaches maturity (start mating) he's less delicious. IDK if that's true b/c I never intentionally ate one.Yes sir I did. I cooked the two cockerels last night and the one that was close to 1 was a bit chewy for my taste. I decided to slow cook them next time. I thought that would still be considered young and I was wondering if meat bird feed would affect the tenderness. I did learn how many things affect the texture of a chicken who knew
That's another reason why I don't like the heat lamps. I feel terrible that they don't get to sleep. What happened to your water supply Smuv?
I do hope it is a quick, easy, cheap fix.
So folks...... Sad but true story...... My newish neighbor got birds last spring. The coop is 4x8 raised so not much headroom. They are using a heat lamp. How do I know?
We sleep with our window cracked a few inches in winter. Last night at midnight someone laid an egg or whatever. Super loud enough to wake hubby. Thinking it was my birds he went to check on mine. Said he got out the back door before it was clear it was the neighbors. Of course like a good and caring man he peeked through the crack in the fence to be sure it wasn't an attack going on. He said that the red light was definitely on.
Poor birdies. No sleep for them.
Gotta keep it sexy for the neighbors peeking through the fence.I need to go let my well rested birds out.
Gonna do it all classy like in a fur coat and fancy spiked heel shoes.
I already picked the poo in the kennel all super low class like. Slippers, socks and a hoodie.........probably should a wore pants.
