Make a pattern out of paper before you cut your fabric. Are you putting a zipper in?
No zipper. I am leaving flaps along the back and will do wide industrial Velcro.

The reason for new covers is the old ones were super cheap and the old Malamute actually managed to rip three of them.
New covers for the seat will be denim and the back cushions will be DUC so should handle washing in the machine.
This sofa is old... Did I say old.... I meant ancient.
The only one that uses it regularly will be the new malamute and my son.
Zippers were a hazard to the old dog so NO zippers.
I need to rewrap the cushions in batting......I hate that step.

This gal is a HOOT! Ran across her videos and she is pretty funny......at least to me.

There is wine!

I wish I knew how to sew. I'm like a 4 year old and get bored easily and have a short attention span. So doing things like that just doesn't work for me.

Amen sistah. I sewed ONE outfit my entire life... that was when I was about 25 and I sewed a cute little flowery sailor suit for my daughter.

Ok you two....tell them to check the trap on the line. Before everything went digital if you didn't pay for tv they put a thing out on your lines at the pole. It made it so tv signals wouldn't go through. They are junk! Had the same internet problem you are talking about before I was forced to pay for tv. Finally a lovely tech with a Jamaican accent came out. Did all the same stuff every tech before him had done then went up the pole. He came back holding what looked like a big plastic bullet. He poured water out of it then showed me the corroded mess inside. He said 90% of his calls are these stupid trap things. He removed mine, marked the pole with a flag saying it had one, told the co he replaced it and left. I NEVER lost internet again. Even got some free tv. Once they went digital they never bothered to remove the traps....

ACTUALLY, Spectrum had to put up a brand new pole for us, since we live on a street without internet poles. Almost every single person out here has DISH.... so a trap isn't on our I'd guess.

Ok, story time! When I was in college, I used to help my mom watch an old lady on the weekends. She was a "second mom" to my mother. She (the music teacher) and my grandmother (the school nurse) used to practically run their elementary school because the principal was a dedicated, fall down drunk. Anyway, I digress. She loved watching certain shows and the only one she liked that most of us who cared for her could stand was Law & Order. It was on most days on one cable channel or another. During most shows, she would fall asleep. However, at the end of every show, in big letters the producer "Dick Wolf" would get a big screen credit. Nine times out of ten, she would wake up just for that credit screen and say "Woof, Woof". It has become a running gag in my family. I can't see that screen without wanting to bark at the screen.
