Official Squatch Watchers

Oh no way, man! I am a scientist. This is like the world's greatest science experiment ever. :) There's no way I need--or have room for--that many chicks! I was only counting on getting a dozen originally but WVD was so generous she doubled that! I told hubby "we'll be lucky if even one or two hatch b/c Serama eggs are notoriously hard to hatch" (plus it was my first hatch) so I seriously hope they don't all hatch! Out of the ones I candled and put back, there were maybe 4 questionable ones. So that's maybe 11 that are going strong, so far!

I'm already calling my chicken friends to see about giving some away if I have a decent hatch. Really, I only wanted like maybe 3 Seramas. WVD's frizzled BCs are seriously cute, though!
You sound like you are trying to convince someone you are not guilty of chicken math!:gig :love

Back from town with 2 bales of hay, one of straw, one of shavings, a bag of game bird feed and a marked down bag of layer pellets for $6!
Pretty bad when a person who works at a feed store doesn't know what game bird feed is. He is new, but still, DUH.

6 bucks, that's a deal!

My TSC had chicks this morning little brown leghorns, RIR's, and little meatbirds. Everybody hovering over those stock tanks like there was a unicorn in there. Did help one lady, she was going to get meaties for eggs...I became a teacher and she got schooled. ;)

This Southern States store doesn't get chicks, unless you special order them. The retail part of the store is quite small, so i can see why.

I was hovering over the chick and duckie bins at the store. Clucking and making chicken noises. Luckily no one was there to see me.

We are getting snow. Yes SNOW! Stupid Ohio weather. Can't make up it's mind on what season it is. Power keeps flickering and guy come in from lunch and said a transformer up the road blew. I'm waiting a little but prob getting the hell out of here!
