Adorable chicks WV!!

To add to the adorable level we are home with a very shy puppy.
Long car ride and new environment have her wanting to hide.

Everyone this is Delilah. Super cute and currently super shy.

PS: my son was not happy with me snagging a pic right away.
Oh Delilah! She misses her mom. She's adorable

And here they are!View attachment 1282428
I put them in another nest box to get a picture. Panther was not happy. I took her out and cut her toenails. Even less happy. Cleaned her ears, well you get the idea. She is just full of milk. Babies! Now i will be forced to pick them up every day. Hee hee:) They have their eyes open too!
Sweet!!!

I can't wait to candle! My egg turner sounds awful, my chicks are going to be deaf. I'm still convinced that they mess with me, Tucks picked today for a skip day so tommow I've got to sneak another one of hers in. Wondering if I should let things lie though, got 5 in there almost 100 positive 3 are fertile. :) Two Hobo maybes!

So where she came from dogs are outside. Mums have good sized kennels with good sized houses. They use pine shavings in the moms houses.
:yesss: I have those!

We put 1/2 a bag in the back area of Delilahs kennel. She took a good nap on the shavings. My son stayed with her while she slept. He is feeding the same food so took a dish out there. She ate and has been moving around some and is now napping at the foot of my sons bed.

Tiny baby steps since she's scared.

At least we are warm here.

She seems more relaxed.

When My avatar came home she was terrified... She spent her first good sleep on my shoulder. In her twelve years the only time I ever heard her cry or yelp was when she was sleeping and the one time she insisted on sniffing he electric fence. The breeder dumped her, her sibling and mom in a sack on the road. Thankfully, someone rescued them and put them up for adoption.

Awww RJ. I am so glad that your doggie was found too.
I know you miss her something awful too.

Nothing like a good dog. :hugs
I can't tell you how empty life has been since she passed. She always knew when I needed extra love and comfort.

Sounds like she didn't have much human socialization. But you will fix that!
