Official Squatch Watchers

@Redhead Rae how is the hatch going? I have a pip and a little crack in one of the bantam eggs :weeView attachment 1287614I’m fighting myself not to go help it out
I had some that were supposed to hatch last week but the died in shell. The most advanced eggs I have are a week old in.
This is my first incubator hatch normally I just wait for a broody. My question is how long do I keep the chicks in the bator before I move them to a brooder
You wait until they are mostly fluffy and no longer than 72 hours from hatch.

I’m sorry! This is exciting and heart breaking at the same time. I got rid of 4 eggs last week and I’m down to 6. Only have one with a crack in the shell hoping the others catch up.

I saw your post but didn’t want to comment there. How long has it been since you saw the pip?

Word to the wise, these ones are super finicky and one of mine doesn’t regulate temps well.

I am going to make a wooden box with styrofoam insulation to set mine in. I put a bit of water in because humidity was low and now its way high. I need to get it stabilized so i can put the guinea eggs in. Shooting for tomorrow .
