Has been a derp since she was a chick too. All the other chickies had the sense to run when the great hand of doom was reaching into the brooder to pull them out. She is very sweet and soooo soft and fluffy :love But I could never rehome her because I don’t think she could successfully integrate into a new flock. Not as a lone hen.


Looks like we have a consensus though! Bully jail! As soon I think it is safe to move Bubbles. If that doesn’t work then I will downsize. And then buy more chicks

The OEGB is female because of the dark brown V on her head and prominent stripes. It's a silver duckwing thing. The males hatch lighter and their lines are more crooked-like. (technical term....crooked-like) :D

Oh, wing sexing only works on certain breeds. And some fast feathering wings are male, some are female. All depends on the breed.

About to sound like complete noob... but are the bantams I just got considered barnyard mixes or possibly *pure* bred?

I would say I feel certain that you got a group of pure breeds. More than one breed with each chick being only one breed. That makes them pure.

Stinks that HD is so far from you.

What hardware stores are close to you?

I didn't mind but I was just surprised that a grocery store did that.

same here at aldi, I bring my own bags... lots cheaper on some things

Lowes. That's it. Again, our town isn't like even a middlin town.... we recently got a PetSmart... and it's manned by people who sold us a MALE cat and told us he was a GIRL!

(shuddup all you bestiality people!!!... looking at a cats junk... weirdos!!!)
