Well I picked up the upturned dishpan, and the poor little pullet was underneath, dead. She got trapped underneath and I assume she either died of cold the first night, or dehydration.

I feel so horrible. I didn't realize that something so light could be a danger to my birds.

I feel so sick about it.

Oh no, that's awful! So sorry, just a freak accident, not your fault! My brother put my Chihuahua in a cooler once, luckily i caught him!

Early is still going strong, itty bitty little peep holes everwhere so he/she is doing the rounds. No major chunks missing yet but I'm watching. The other two are wiggling, and I think I see a pip starting on the lighter egg too. I'd bet money my flashlight will be dead by tonight, because I can't stop checking. :)

:wootI agree not knowing and waiting for that call is horrid. Glad things are normal (ish).



In other news.....

I got my office cleaned out and made puppy safe!
Sable is not able to fit through the cat door into the cats room so she gets to come into my office now!
I have set up my sewing station in here and even managed to get the ole computer to fire up after its months of vacation!
no more stretching the dang screen so I can read all the funny taters you guys post.

They nestled into me, like the trusting little balls of endearing fluff that they are. Then the pooping began. Ooooohhhhh, yeah. Birds crap in their sleep, in case you didn't know. So all night, I lay there, naked and sleep deprived, in Corpse Pose, while my fuzzy babies proceeded to rain poo down upon my boobs, chest, and abdomen, like something out of Fear Factor (Vinnie's idea of Fear Factor, as he is scared of birds, and poo). I would feel them scoot and hunch, then plop! And nuzzle their little selves back into my neck, or cleavage, and go back to sleep.
