Official Squatch Watchers

:lau I feel bad for laughing, but that was quite funny.

I know, right?! Don't feel bad. It was funny. I was laughing my butt off while I was laying there with fizzing little poopers, pooping on me, thinking what juicy blogmeat it was gonna be! But then I felt like a privileged ass a bit, for whining about my pet chickens freezing to death, while people are living in squalor in miserable little countries where there's no electricity and dirty little chickens are running around the street....

And now I feel like one of those politically correct blathering asses like Bono, oh man! I really think I'm gonna start volunteering at a homeless shelter or Habitat For Humanity or something, and do something nice, and shut the heck up now.

Yeah, right.

Can you imagine what it's been like for the last 6 months in Puerto Rico!?
They just recently got power turned back on.

I'm so drawn out and tired. It feels like nothing is going right today.

My eggs aren't hatching.

I found out we accidentally killed one of our chicks.

We forgot to pick up our Azure order (fortunately our drop coordinator is AWESOME and is keeping it for us).

DH's back has been acting up.

My nighttime network is too slow to do a build that I was supposed to practice on and the guy I'm filling in for goes out of town week after next.

DH is getting us ice cream.... :) that will help!

Cappy, I'm so happy for you.
PBM, you rock for keeping the little peeps toasty and safe.
Smuvey, thanks for keeping our PBM company.

Rae you're not the only one having a crap day :hugs. I really want to cry right now, but I still have stuff to do.

:hugs I am sorry your day is crappy hon.

Seems like there has been way to many crappy days this year already.

My heart hurts.

I found out what happened to my poor missing pullet.

I was cleaning up around the paddock. It has been too wet and miserable to do much of anything recently. Well, on really cold days, my FIL will take any shallow pan or dish he could find and fill it with warm water for the birds. One of them was a black plastic dishpan like this.

Well I picked up the upturned dishpan, and the poor little pullet was underneath, dead. She got trapped underneath and I assume she either died of cold the first night, or dehydration.

I feel so horrible. I didn't realize that something so light could be a danger to my birds.

I feel so sick about it.
Oh my gosh Rae! I’m so so sorry. Poor things. You and her. :hugs
