SQUATCHERS!!!!!! I think I have my first broody! My initial thought was that I should try to break her but.....But but but now I think I might give her some eggs

Question for all you more experienced peeps; how long do I wait to see if she is serious?

I'm not experienced, but I usually wait a week.

I suspected with my girl when I was finding feathers in the nest. Then she was sitting a lot. She started yelling at me when I would approach. She stopped laying eggs.

Her temperature went way up too. It’s all those things.

I would say if you remove her and she goes right back, she’s serious.

Psssshh. I've owned chooks for four years. Not exactly a lifetime.

And..... the Milk Drinker woke up. *sigh*

Thankfully he seems to be settling right back to sleep. It remains to be seen if I can get him in his crib or if I have to keep him in bed with me.

I think he decided he wants to stay with me. He’s using me as a body pillow.
