Official Squatch Watchers

I'm not sure where on the spectrum of crazy chicken lady this falls-- but I found myself catching and towel drying what looked like drowned rats today. Low and behold they were my chickens--just soaked from standing out in the rain all day.
I have too many chickens to be doing that. With this hatch, I officially have 99 chickens.

I need to send some roosters to camp.

I had to carry 2 inside, they refused to get out of the rain and mud. Then one I carried in got dried off and then two more looked soaked so I grabbed them too. They weren't as wet as they looked thank goodness but it was a good excuse to give them a quick body check too. Why they stand out in the rain I'll never know.

They dry out fine in the coop at night!

Not need to towel them dry

They looked miserable and the one I was most worried about is the girl that seems to be bottom of the pecking order. I wasn't home all day and had no idea how long she had been standing out in the rain. I mostly wanted to check her over and make sure she was ok. I pat her dry a little and let her go.
I know they are spoiled -- problem is they do too.

Ok,made a pizza planted some lantanas still have six to plant but there's toads living in my pots so I'm planting around them I guess.Checked on Pookie she's good. Pretty good day for me! And hubs got some overtime today so I get a couple hours to sit and drink coffee...awwwesome possum man.:)

You are fine! Not for 100 of them though! That would take more towels than I own....

Ugh, the Milk Drinker is being a little Tater Face today. He is upset that I won't let him turn off the window fan and is yelling and crying about that. It is 80+ degrees in our bedroom and I want the fan to stay on. He wants it off.

Stinker.
My little brother slept with two blankets in the summer when the house was very hot. He was red faced and sweating...would not take them off! It was comforting I guess
