Ok, the story.
I was at my mom's yesterday working on stuff with DD#2, and DD#3 calls wanting an Oreo blizzard. That soon expanded to include a salted caramel blizzard and a royal Oreo blizzard (which has fudge in the middle). Well, we got the blizzards, but couldn't tell which one had the fudge, and neither could the people who made it, so they turned one of the Oreo blizzards into the royal Oreo blizzard. We got home, gave DD#3 what we thought was the regular Oreo blizzard, and she discovered that it was the original royal blizzard. DD#3 was hangry and emotional, so she burst in to tears. We ended up going out for food, and since dairy queen was closed, we ended up at the taco bell drive thru. Since she wanted to stay out for a little bit, we went to the parking lot that we normally chill and talk in. One end of this parking lot is nice and dark, and usually empty. Being dark and empty, it is great for illicit activity, and is therefore checked on a regular basis. So, DD#3 and I are sitting in the parking lot, munching on taco bell with 2 dogs in the car, and watching Netflix when a car comes up behind us with bright lights on. Having done this multiple times, and knowing from experience that cops do check on unusual vehicles, we weren't surprised when 2 cops walked up to the car. We rolled down our windows, showed them the taco bell, dogs and the phone playing Netflix while DD#3 explained that we were having a mother - daughter night out. Dogs got scritches while they explained that they were checking because the druggies used the area. I told them that yeah, we knew that, and that ladies of the night would go around the backside of the building with their dates as well (something we learned the last time the cops checked on our out of place vehicle).
Since that is our favorite chill place for mother - DD#3 talking when we don't want to get out of the car or watch trains, we will have more encounters of the uniformed kind.
