Official Squatch Watchers

Rae, I think ron has a possible solution, but only if the only issue is the legs. If it doesn't work, or if there is more than just the legs, then you will have done everything you could, and the only option left would be to end suffering. If that is the end result, then I am truly sorry, but you will have done everything you can.

Ruby, good luck with finals and Regent. If possible, could you candle the eggs when switching them over to the brinsea? It seems like that, or waiting, are the only options.

Smuvey, good luck and many successes with your upcoming endeavors. Many blessings , as well.

Chickassan, yes, only here do we understand and commiserate/ empathize with being romanced by a feathery cinder block. I guess be flattered, I mean, her finds you attractive, worth his time, and even made a place to rest your weary toosh. Granted, he'd like you to have his kids, but it's not like he's the most intelligent thing on the planet, he just sees you as a desirable member of the flock.

Talk to everyone later. In the meantime, :hugs:hugs:hugs:love:love:love

Ok, I've tried using a vet wrap band around its legs and taping its feet. It now has its feet under its body but they are still VERY far forward. It is doing better with trying to toddle about. Its umbilical looks fine now. The chick has been hatched for about 24 hours now. I don't want to put it with my other chicks in the brooder just yet. So it is in the incubator for now. Is a little nutridrench ok if I'm still not feeding and watering?

I'm going to have sooo much trouble with this boy, you couldn't squeeze a dime in between my butt and him. See how big! He's just over a month but totally a baby Huey! Monsters and midgets for me this year.;)

shame you don't raise for meat.. he would be good breeding stock

Its not that I won't raise them for that, just not for me to eat just too close to home. I haven't eaten chicken in years lol! I'm curious to see how he's going to turn out especially his leg feathers he's got more of a full pants thing going on more so than his dad and brother.
