Good morning everyone!

First night not nursing went GREAT! The Milk Drinker woke up around midnight, like usual. I picked him up, said "No milkies" and just held him. He didn't fuss or cry and he fell asleep on my shoulder about 10 min later. He then proceeded to sleep through the rest of the night. I woke him at 6:50 this morning because I needed him to nurse. It was lovely getting 6 hours of solid sleep!

Oh, she's got it no doubt had sil call her and ask "before I lost my taters" and I can't get it back because she has it in her car which is in Arkansas right now and she resfused to ground ship it back to me even though I really need it. I call that theft, and yes you're right she's been a outright snoop joke is on her though there is nothing on my phone but chicken pictures and some bug porn. Nothing in my wallet "no suprise right?" Woman has a bag that has no purpose except to tater me off! She said and I quote "she's waited this long let her wait some more." So yep,im done.

Wow... just wow.

They are Black Ameraucana and I was only told this about Ameraucanas not sure if it’s true to other breeds. @rjohns39 might no something about it I think it is his specialty.

I'll have to look it up. I checked Loki last night and she was only green, no purple, but William did have purple on some parts of his green. It'd be kind of interesting if that really is a thing for black birds. I assume it would have something to do with the nutrients that are present when the feathers are forming, so while it may be an indication of their health during their last molt, it isn't necessarily giving you info about their current state. But a good reason to check them out from time to time as they are molting.

Great to hear! It's so nice when they're on board with the break. It sounds like he's been nursing out of habit more than need which helps.

Well my bag is coming home, it took a state trooper to get it shipped but its coming home. Went out to feed the derps and found my wonderful rooster dragging beakfulls of fur from under the storage shed...another garbage angel a very long dead one. I blocked it off, hubs can get it later I can't deal with that. Stuff just loves to die in my backyard, awesome. Spent most of last night sleeping with Ray and Duece, we had a thunderstorm and it super freaked them out woke up with little turds everywhere. They both still look nearly identical, but it looks like Duece is going to have mega cheeks and those bonus toes on closer inspection are actually one toe at the base which splits into two at the end not mad about it but it is freaky.
