I was thinking about goji berries. wondering if the deer would eat them?when it cools off a bit, we'll be pokin holes in the ground to plant some goji berries. DW picked up a bucket full from a friend who was thinning her bushes. We got one cell in the brooder ready to go (waterer fixed), still need to work on the other, but thinking about bug bombing the room first. Too many 8 legged friends even for me. Still need to fix the other waterer and add another layer of bedding.
In the world of awesome news, we should be done with hose water today (my main water line has been 600' of garden hose for the last couple months). It's amazing what a guy who knows what he's doing can do with a mini-ex. He also found my old piles of manure, sand, mushroom compost and sawdust. They were flat and I thought done, but no there was 4-6" for each, so he mixed them up and pushed them back into a nice cohesive pile for us to use. He also moved the boulders across the driveway along with a couple tons of big rocks and is flattening/leveling this side of the drive... I'm contemplating putting the orchard in the new flat spot now...
I think we're done planting the garden for now... We need to harvest a bunch of spinach and kale and use it up, along with more carrots.
So really kinda the same thingThe guy who sent me my LFW Cornish eggs wrapped each one in a premie diaper and packed shredded paper around them.
I’m trading some eggs with someone and I want to make sure they arrive in great shape@TexasSam .
There is an article on here about shipping eggs. It is pretty good.

Just a few that may prove helpful.
You sending some eggs Sam?
I believe you people are tater headsGet a big roll of bubble wrap. Wrap each egg. Place each egg in an egg carton. Wrap carton in bubble wrap. Put crumpled newspaper in bottom of shipping box. Place egg carton in box fill all the space with crumpled paper. Seal carton with packing tape. I do not recommend putting fragile on the box , i think it just makes it an appealing football. I had years of experience shipping and find it works well for me.
What?! It works!I believe you people are tater heads
