Just found my hen guniea on 40 eggs again!!!
Unfortunately I had to take the eggs she was right next to "snake pit ally" (out big pile of tree branches, that are waiting to be burned or buried) so... 40 eggs in the bator, hopefully more then 13 will take this time.

And we just found a snake in the quail pin, with the quails neck and head swallowed. He started to regurgitate the quail when it saw my husband.... he shot it before it got any ideas. Wasn't poisonous, but still had to go.

Oh dear! If they get within 50 feet of my coop, they eat lead.

I actually like snakes(the nice ones ;))
But I dont like them near any of my animals or house!

And my husband absolutely HATES snakes!!
He has been home for a weeks and he has shot at a bunch(we live in north FL kn 40 acres) but this one was IN the quail pin!!

Looks like I am going make my the quails coop like everyone else does. Was hoping the ground coop would work
Oh well. Would be easier to clean anyways!
