Do it!

The bravest things I do when DH is out of town is eat chips on the bed while watching tv :pop, then sleep with the tv on.

I bow to thee.

I'm wondering how long I should wait on the last egg? I'm pretty sure it quit but I'd hate to not give it a chance.

And water for the little fuzz butts. They've been staying in the nest box so I've sprinkled food in front of Mom. She can reach water but not sure they can. It's an open waterer so I don't want to put it in the box in case of spills. They should be able to get in and out of the box but Moms not moving off that egg.
Or the possibility that they might fall in and drown. They'll be able to survive for a few days on their yolk. Hopefully by then the egg will hatch or mama will let it go.

Gosh that is a sad story.
One of my siblings put us other three through a living hell after our mom died.

It was one almost insurmountable surprise problem after another. Horrible shocking revelations which fractured us as a family forever.

I wish people could just get along.
I can understand tensions getting high when a parent dies, but it's insane how some people act. One of my cousins absolutely believed that she should get my gma's car (gma gave it to my dad more than a year before she passed), and her house (my dad bought it from the estate after he talked to my gma about it). Get, mind you.. not buy it from the estate like my dad did. And she also believed that she should get her mother's share of the estate b/c our gma "was like a mother to her". It was ridiculous.

Last year while hubby was on vacation i built my 8x10 chicken coop. I am building a hoop coop this year but may not wait until he goes. I just have to decide how big to make it. I was thinking maybe twice as big as the last one.... its for turkeys.

My Grandmother had one request, just one.
Don't let them put all my stuff out on the lawn when I go.

They did just that. :(

She had just that one request. It still bothers me that my aunts and uncles disrespected her that way.

My Grandfather had passed 10 years before her. While she was taking flowers to the funeral home my aunt was seen by a neighbor climbing through the basement window taking meat from my grandmas freezer.

People lose their minds.

My mom has me as her executor. We have not spoken in 10 years. I doubt that will change.
My siblings can have whatever my mother leaves them. They will get no fuss from me....so long as they respect her wishes.

Welp I did it, 2 little Hobos and 2 speckled susussex sp? Anyhoo always wanted a couple speckly hens. Hatching the day hubs leaves lol. Really can't blame me 5 eggs 1 hen, nope not settling for that. Still thats only an even dozen counting the rooster and that is IF everybody lives. Using Myer so yeah.:)
Yes! The spring/summer of babies continues!
