Poor little dude!

Hope, if thats the worst one it should heal up fine.
Thanks I think he will be fine too. His eye is on the other side is pretty swollen but I will be spraying it a few times a day.
He should be ok, he seems to be kinda sad(or moppy) about it so just keeping my eye on him.

I'd be sad too, poor fella. The bad one isn't pecking quail?

Poor little dude!
Looks like a pearl and a pied. Glad you got 2. Did i mention the turkeys were eating feathers off the guineas? I thought they looked odd and then last night i saw a turkey pull feathers! So off to the turkey brooder outside at 0 dark 30 last night, after hubby was in bed. The cool part about turkeys is that they are very calm. No peeping or struggling when i picked them up. Or when i open the big baby turkeys cage.

First Guinea I have EVER HATCHED!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok and just saying I am not in menopause, yet......... but I sweat me booty off at night it has to be cold, like cold cold for me to get a good night sleep. My husband is the same way! I have always been that way!!

Thermostat set at 65°F, and 3 fans running in our bedroom so that we can sleep. I don't *do* heat.... can't breathe. Even thinking about moving to WV when DH retires since it colder there... and better soil for food growth.

I have never washed eggs!
Omg:eek:
Am I gonna die from this?:th

We don't wash eggs either. We try to keep their nesting boxes full of filler to keep the eggs clean. Any dirty ones get fed back to the chickies and ain't no one died yet from it.

It is done ya'll, order updated derp and mealmaker added. Got the derp just in time they only had 4. I spent 36 minuites talking to chicken man on the phone, he was super nice just very chatty. :)

What hatchery you eye humpin there Ass An?!? :gig

You'll have to move to the mountains if you want nice and cool.

We aren't in the mountains but in the foothills. It gets cooler here at night than it does in the DC metro area at night, but often it stays above 75 at night in the summer. That's a bit too hot for us. We usually have a month of upper 90+ temps a year.
