Meyer, the only tatering one that dosen't make you buy 50 million chicks. Shipping blows butt, but tit for tat.:)
Thermostat set at 65°F, and 3 fans running in our bedroom so that we can sleep. I don't *do* heat.... can't breathe. Even thinking about moving to WV when DH retires since it colder there... and better soil for food growth.

We don't wash eggs either. We try to keep their nesting boxes full of filler to keep the eggs clean. Any dirty ones get fed back to the chickies and ain't no one died yet from it.

What hatchery you eye humpin there Ass An?!? :gig

@Smuvers Farm I was born and raised in the FL Keys. I'm fine with the heat & humidity......just not when I am sleeping lol and especially with my Husband and toddler they sweat like they have eaten a million hot peppers.

Oh we call the PIC our Hunk of Charcoal, cause he is like a damn furnace! That's the biggest reason I want him to sleep in his own room.....

Ok so only 2 Keets made it. (I will post photos when I go back outside..

Had to move one of my 8 chicks in with the quail chicks(had no where else to put it)because it was beating the living crap out of the others, one of the others head is swollen and all red and no feathers at all :( thinking I may need to cull it. It was doing it while i was standing there. The other chicks had pecked Mark's but not as bad as the one.

@staceyj :hugs:hugsI totally understand I think my heart will break bad when I lose my boy! He is 14 this year. The oldest cats we had were 23.
Cats have a way if touching out hearts and driving us nuts all at the same time. I grew up with cats and couldn't imagine not having one(even though my husband doesn't like cats.....we have 3:gig... like he has a choice)
:hugsFor all the reasons.

When the hubby isn't here my little one sleeps I. Her bed all night but she misses daddy so much she ends up sleeping with us half way through the night. Between the heat and them taking up the bed in there matching odd positions I cant win!
Thank goodness the infant sleeps in her crib all night!
