We are 7a. I never did plant corn, i need a sunny spot.

I lol Rae. My corn is a replanted thing too. It's short at MAYBE 18".

It's been a rough start for my garden this year.

We are weeks from red matersmaters. If I get a handful of beans I will do a happy dance.

What zone do they list you as? We are supposedly zone 5 but really more of a zone 4.

We are 6a I think.

We have the tallest corn around though. Other people who started before us only have knee high corn. We have a rows that are 6ft, hip height, knee high, and 6 inches.

My mom has been running around with fish fertilizer water as well.... I don't think that hurt at all.

I think the Azomite i added to the soil is great! Tomato plant 4.5 ft tall with blossoms.

That fertilizer is probably making the corn super happy!
Corn likes nitrogen so I use coffee grounds too. It slow releases so a little goes a long way.

Of course I use composted chicken poo too.

I keep expanding the gardening area too. Someday I will get a real harvest of a variety!

I am starting a new garden area. So far only strawberries and grapes in there .

By the time it got warm enough to use weed killer, it's been raining almost every day.So.

Well I did withhold the sad micro cabbage, okra, beans, etc.


I will start tying up the squash tomorrow and stare at my chewed up watermelon.

Me.

I read the book in high school. I can't believe they had it in a library that high schoolers, never mind the middle schoolers, had access to it.

Sometimes all it takes is one openminded librarian!
