I put one piece of plywood i cut on the front of the coop, and a whole sheet on the end. 94° in the work shop right now.
I put the loft up in one small quail pen. I still need to make a ramp and add sand.
We saw a quail down by the river, very nearly caught it. So close!

Was it a wild quail? Are you thinking of breeding it to your's?

No, the wild quail we see are Bobwhites. The ones we are trying to catch are Coturnix that got out one night when their door got opened somehow. I caught one, three remain at large. Two have been spotted.

Getting stuff for the new job almost daily... Two huge monitors, keyboard and mouse, security token... Laptop and docking station are en-route as well. Also supposed to be getting a headset to use with skype. Apparently we do that a lot.

Still have no idea what I'm doing Monday or where I'm doing it.... I know my accounts won't be active until Tuesday.

If it's not one thing it's another.
Sugar has a bump over her eye. It's not hard. It moves around. It doesn't feel like fluid either. Almost like a bubble. Nothing in her nose or ears. Mouth is clear too. No bubbling of the eyes either.
She's very low on the pecking order. Possibly the bottom. Maybe she was pecked, so for right now I'm keeping an eye on it....oi vey

So, can someone send me their trail camera? One (or possibly more) of my chickens are eating the eggs in the nesting boxes.... ye gawds! At least someone recommend a good trail cam that won't break the bank!
 
well today I tried to look under the Barred cx mixed hen that went broody yesterday... I was lucky to keep my hand. The worst chicken hen yet. She hit the same spot half a dz times, just missed a vein :rantLucky 13 th broody chicken hen this year..
I guess she can keep whatever she has. Sure not going to try and break her ... Not going to try and give her chicks even in the middle of the night :gig

I took the nest out of the igloo dog house. That white cx mix hen kept breaking her eggs and the started ones didn't hatch. she has been sitting since 5/26.. I think she gave up.. she has been out of the house since 8 am:celebrate
