Okay squatchers. Our level of chicken expertise is varied.

I have a friend whom I met here on BYC who has an (actually2 ) Indian leghorn rooster with THE MOST GINORMOUS set of comb and wattles imaginable.
The birds body is quite small in comparison to the size of his equipment. It has greatly impaired his ability to see food and to eat and drink, and actually rubs his eyeball. Dubbing this creature in my opinion should only be attempted by a veterinarian if at all. But the area where the owner is is so remote there either are none or none that would be willing to do it for what they could afford to pay in a lifetime.
Do any of you know another member who might be a good resource about this procedure?

I don't know about dubbing. Maybe casportpony or pyxis could help you.

Apparently not having some overly normal broody screaming at them made my girls lay more eggs! :lau
Pretty sure that little one in the middle is from the Cucko Marans. (It was outside) By color--still Marans or something else?

I've heard that sometimes it takes a little while for the paint department to work correctly. They could be poorly bred. It takes intensive breeding to keep the dark egg coloring strong.

I got them for free.
I liked the barring. Didn't have that in the flock yet. I'm happy with healthy girls. Was just curious really.
