We got our hands on 50lbs of fresh picked GA peaches. Made cinnamon peach jelly and preserves, mango peach jelly and preserves, and black&blue peach jelly and preserves. They turned out wonderfully!
We still had some peeled left over so I plan to use them in some ice cream. Washed the remainder of the unpeeled ones, sliced into quarters and froze for smoothies later.
Just popping in to say hi. Cleaning house, retirement ceremony upcoming with my moms visit of 2 months AND my in laws coming with their 3 dogs for a long weekend.
Miss you guys like crazy but trying to get my web page and facebook pages up and running. Doing a ton of schmoozing of local higher ups to see if they'd promote our farm. Just still in the midst of a social media break.
Lots of LOVE!!!
Inside the pit is a seed that looks a bit like an Almond. You do not want to eat it. It tastes bad anywayOk, so i'm feeling like I shouldn't eat the pits.![]()
I am sorry!I don’t do well in the heat. It’s gotten worse as I’ve gotten older. I’ve talked a little about my eyes and the problems that started in Dec of 2016.
I was diagnosed with intermittent 6th nerve palsy. But the cause was never found. The last test I was supposed to get I couldn’t get the Drs office and insurance to cooperate. Then my eyes got better.
The point of that story was for some reason when I’m over heated or look into bright sunlight my eyes act up. Then I literally can’t see straight. Beyond frustrating!
It’s scary because sudden onset in an adult is generally from being hit in the head (no), meningitis (no), or a brain tumor. (No again) No tests they did found anything. The last test they wanted was a spinal tap. I couldn’t get the Drs office to send in for pre-approval to the insurance. I called and called. Even the insurance co called and said they needed to fill out a paper... it never happened.I am sorry!
My Dad had MS and the heat was very hard on him. MS attacked his eyes a couple of times too
Would have been my Dads 89th birthday today if he lived!
