We always used a the bristle brush kind growing up. When I started cleaning for a job the soft swab kind was used. I do like those better cause you don't get splattered with toilet water when cleaning.
Got the waterer clean no problem. The same as if I had used a sponge. I want to switch to nipple waterers but I'm cheap and want to make them. Another project on the list.
