I got a turkey nail to the hand last night, one of the girls roosted on the chicken run.

I may have to look that up. I'm not sure if there is anyone who will do them around here, but we'll see. Here we have a poultry processing place that will brocess them for a couple of bucks each. There is a min. number of birds, 15 I think but you drop them off in the morning and pick them up a couple of hours later.
Sorry you had such a tatery day RaeToday, is finally OVER!
It took me 4.5 hours (with a 15 min break for dinner) to do 6 tatering birds. What really caused the time delay is that the 4 Standard Cochin Cockerels we did are all mid molt. They were so fluffy that it was hard to see until we started plucking. Once we got most of their feathers out, they looked like friggin' porcupines! The two banties were easy by comparison. Oh, and I cut myself on a knuckle pretty badly while eviscerating. It doesn't need stitches, but it hurts.
Tomorrow afternoon, I get to rest.
