Dropping in to say hi for a quick little minute.
I set aside today to catch up on paying bills and tending to administrative tasks I’ve been blowing off for weeks, vacuum my house, package up a bday gift for a friend and make a post office run, oh all sorts of things.
When I came home I discovered that my neighbor behind my neighbor (the bunny lady) was having all the trees in her backyard cut down which is going to open up my yard to so much light!
It should make a big difference in my garden next year!
But oh! My poor girls! The chain saws scared them to death!
They’d all run in their house and huddled in the corner! They were piled up four high in one nesting box with terror stricken looks on their faces.

:woot Sunshine for your garden!
Bummer about the terror stricken birds. They should be ok in a few days.
:fl

The older ones yes, the little hens are like most other children any food is good food they're eating that old stuff like candy. I'm not too happy iv'e been giving them new food that is almost a year old, that just isn't acceptable to me at all.
Your chickens are very smart!

They would be more likely to eat the calf manna if it were fresh....

Hi all, had a busy day here. DH and I cleaned and power washed the other half of the porch. We tried to power wash the siding on the second floor of the north side of the house, but we have steel roofing with turns as slick as ice when wet, and of course, the power washer leaks. So we gave that up as a bad job. I'm looking for a hose attached sprayer now to see if that works.

For the 3rd day out of 4, I'm tatering tired.

It is sad that they do that for sure!

I have purchased old chicken feed from TSC here

I guess i'm going to have to track down some fresh manna. I think it would do the heavy molters some justice. I'm also going to have to remember to check dates on bags, it is just really crazy I have to do that.:th

My last baby hatched! This one is pure Serama, hatched by my little dove, Fergus.

So sweet.... :love:love:love:love:love:love:love:love:love:love:love:love:love:love:love:love:love

Soon as she fluffed up and started walking around and ate and drank a bit, I slipped her under Fergus in the dark. Now I have 5 babies!!

I love hatching chickens. It's freaking fracking amazing....
