Honestly, I don't know. If it does, I'll just snip it off. I thought about doing that (like puppy dewclaws, it's easier when they are tiny) but I'm just going to wait and see.

I've always been of the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" kind of vet. So, I'll just play it by ear for now. Great question though....have any of you guys ever had a freak baby like this one?
 
Gah, he drives me nuts with the wine! It has been like this since we moved here and he discoverd the grape vines. The soggy boom could have been avoided if he'd listened to me "like most of his disasters". I told him the bucket wasn't big enough but nooo it will be fine he says! That little airlock thing got launched like a rocket, I found it behind the stove. I'm glad i'm psychic and stuck the whole thing in a washtub before the boom.:lau

It did the blub blub thing too, but I guess it helps do something. blah blah blah [I wasn't listening to him]. Not sure if it'd help you prevent future soggy booms though.

You guys!! There is this free coop sign thing going on with Purina. It's called Flocktober. If you buy a bag of Purina chicken food you get a free sign.

I got an email about this, and went to my TSC cuz I needed food. But they didn't hear of it. So I sent an email to Purina and it turns out you can order the signs for 3.50 each handling if you don't have a local place that participates. I got 4 signs for my coop total. They're cute! I got the second one in this pic. I'll see if I can find pics of the others. One says "Stay Calm and Cluck On," it's cute.

If any of y'all don't have a place by you that has these, and wants the email to order them like I did, LMK and I'll post the email so you can get them. :)
