Good afternoon eveybody! @staceyj thank you sooo much for making me never look at a burrito with a straight face ever again.:gigBeen one of those odd days. Watched the UFC fights, boo and hiss on the McGregor bout. Gave Sallie a half bath she put her head in my armpit and got old spice noggin. Yes old spice, i'm out so I jacked hubby's, the ladies obviously looove it. I'm pretty much trapped inside by bees, honeybees are swarming my hummingbird feeders in front and back. I went to take them down to clean the funk but nope i'll wait. For whatever reason this dumb phone wants to spell honeybees as hineybees....don't want their honey for sure!:lau

Yes indeed, plus she lives the life I dream about sometimes no hubs and house chickens. Even if she was terrible "which she isn't" i'd love her to pieces just for that.:caf
Thanks Rae!
And congrats to our buddy @Anansi on her friend badge!
She deserved that a long time ago!
She’s a GREAT friend! :love:hugs

I have to figure out how to keep my plants going longer here. In VA I had tomatoes until we got a hard freeze. I also got peppers all year long. Here, my tomatoes die off in late August early September. And the peppers won't set fruit until around August. My plants are loaded with peppers now, but I only got one in spring. I know it has to be the heat, but surely there's some more heat tolerant plants out there. I'm gonna be bugging my extension agent for an education.

Living in the desert I have similar issues.

I use pvc hoops over the peppers and put shade cloth on the hoops. It helps prevent sun scald too. For my maters I plant where they get afternoon shade. If you do it where there is privacy fence as the shade maker clear tarps work for a greenhouse effect. Pvc makes a nice arch for the plastic to not touch the leaves too. Think semi circle to flat of fence. Greenhouse megastore sells the clips in 4' sections very reasonably priced. I cut it on my miter saw with a fine blade.

that reminds me I need to bring in onions before dark. Going to freeze tonight and drizzle/snow during the week.
