I’m 5 weeks now, just starting to get minor queasiness that is eased by seltzer and I’m losing my appetite for sugar and I can’t eat as much as I did prior to pregnancy. It’s pretty much like my pregnancy with the Milk Drinker so far. I didn’t throw up until I was well into labor with him. I’ve got the super sniffer going on already too. Chemical smells are really bad for me.
All good signs!

In other news, in the last 3-4 days we have come to a decision about the farmhouse. DH and I went up to talk to my parents about buying the farmhouse and some land from them so that we could work on getting a loan for the stuff we can't do ourselves, a complete redo of the plumbing, electrical, and adding a whole house HVAC. For several different reasons, (the age and condition of the house, how close it is to their house, the fact that our house is hooked to their well and the drain field for their septic is higher than our house) they thought it would be more trouble than it would be worth to sell this house and a few measly acres to us.

So, their 130ish acres is divided into 2 plots, 100ish acres, mostly on this side of the lane, and 32 acres located on the other side of the lane, which has about 1 acre of pretty flat raw land that would be suitable for building. So they are going to "sell" us the land to use cheaply but have a loan with them that stands against my share of the inheritance. This will allow us to use the land as our down payment. This will allow us to get a home put on a block foundation that will be big enough for DH, me, kids, and my in-laws for a relatively inexpensive payment. My parents plan to do minimal fixes to the farmhouse (just plumbing) and keep the house as a guest house so my siblings don't drive my dad crazy with all their dogs and boyfriends when they come to visit. The best part is..... we may very well have a COMPLETED house and be moved in before Thing 2 arrives. This is such a relief because I've been expecting to spend at least the next 10 years fixing up this house.

O ME GEEE Rae!
Milk Drinker number two!
I could cry!
HOW exciting!!
I can't wait! Do you need baby girl clothes?
I probably won't know until after the baby is born or close to when the baby is due. I purposefully bought gender neutral clothing for the first 6-9 months for just this reason. :)
