She pooped. Mostly normal. At least it didn’t explode all over. She’s getting stronger. A little wobbly still so I set her up in a sling. She was not at all happy with me. She wore herself out then accepted it. My biggest concern with it is when she falls asleep. She relaxes and is letting her neck fall forward. I have the laundry room door open so I can hear her if she starts to freak out. Pretty sure I’m worse then a new mom. Keep telling to dogs to be quiet. LOL
She looks much better this morning. Even her movements seem more normal. So happy for you

She has always been at the bottom of the pecking order. It's not that she's bullied by one, she is bullied by all. I had wanted to set up an area in the new coop as a hospital and general segregation area. I had read about separating the victim to boost their confidence. I really think that's what she needed. To be in the flock but safe from them.
So happy to see that Sugar is better! You are taking such good care of her. Just wanted to chime in that I tried this separation method with my poor sweet, rock bottom of the pecking order, bullied-by-everyone girl at the beginning of the year. It really did do her a world of good. With her own feed and water dishes and her own little coop, she was less stressed, she put on weight, and regrew all the feathers the flock had pulled out. And I do think it helped with her confidence. I was eventually able to reintegrate her into the flock. So hang in there chicken momma! You are doing great!

Pretty hard to get a picture where they live, but if she brings them out in the open i will try.

Ooohh, she looks so much better! Eye is open, and her comb doesn't look floppy and dehydrated like it did on the last video! Yay!! :wee :fl

Ugh, Iv'e been asked to hatch chicks for someone and I don't mind buuut the only ones laying regularly are Lulu and Hobo. The man wants four but i'm going to set six just in case. I'm scared to death i'm just going to give him a half dozen roosters. He wants one so no problem if one is male but we are talking about Lulu here my rooster machine. Of course Hobo is no help at all in these matters since she's a nun.:caf
