Pat Catans. Recently bought by Michaels craft stores. What you’ll never believe was the prices! The two tin cutouts were $3 each. So was the metal looking plate. The bigger white plate with the rooster print was a whopping $4.50. Everything was 70% off. I’m tempted to go back!

As for molting birds— I have a few that obviously feel ill. My poor Roo Trouble seems to have fallen into that category. He looks dreadful and seems afraid of his own shadow. (Pretty sure Taterhead is taking advantage)
I feed Feather Fixer all the time. It was the best I could come up with to compromise between calcium and protein with a constantly fluctuating flock. I try to give extra protein treats to help them recover faster.
Each bird is different. Some don’t mind being handled others would prefer I leave them alone.

Buy them all!

Thanks for the advice. She does seem to be feeling unwell at the moment. Can’t say I blame her. I also worry a bit because Amelia is normally the flock alpha and now that she is off her game, I fear Roux may try to assert his dominance
Guess all I can do is wait and watch and give her extra protein until she is done with the process

I just cook mine meat when they're molting. It is weird meat like hocks and feet but they don't care.

Rene actually played with me a little bit today. I sat outside with a button front cardigan on and she'd run up bite a button, squeal and run away over and over. It was adorable!

Nick nacks tend to become casualties here.

I can still adore them though.
