Crossing the Road
Boy you have really had your fill of chicken issues. So my morning started at 8 with crowing coming from the basement! I got an audio recording but no video. His little helium crow cracks me up. And of course it echos around the basement.
I unhobbled Glayds to see how her leg is. It's had a little scabby spot on her hock from her using it to step down on. Its been drying up and flaking off. So today when I unwrap it I see the scab is picked up a bit. I scratch it a little and gross liquidy pus comes out.

She had a giant hole in her leg! I got some nasty stuff out of it. Looked like old blood, and a little cheesey pus stuff. I can't tell what's what. I sprayed it with vetricyn and rinsed it a couple times. Of course the majority of my first aid kit is with the flock. So I gobble some honey on it and a cotton pad and wrapped her up again. I knew the hock was swollen but it wasn't red or warm. I thought it was from her using it like a foot... I guess not. I'll have to keep an eye on it.
