He is about 2 hours and 15 min from you. He is an hour and a half from me. It's a drive, but its good to have those stomachs going off the food bill.

Oh, sad story, Tiny died last week. My FIL just found him keeled over in the pen. No signs of him being undernourished or anything. He was smaller than all the pullets I hatched at the same time. So I think he probably died of a heart or other internal problem. One of the two remaining bantam boys got a reprieve and now is in with the pullets.
I am sorry you lost him!

Chickens just die sometimes.

:hugs

Not preaching to you dear. I know you know that kids need them germs to build their immune systems.

I was raised "free range" aka feral.
I am likely to live forever.

No need to  silly girl! I follow the "three second rule," lol. For a nurse I can be pretty laid back about germs. :) Kids were WAY healthier when I was a kid, and the stuff our parents did then would be cause for them to get CPS called on them in this day and age, ya know? Different times, for sure....

I see the memes all the time and I laugh.
"Drank from the garden hose and lived to tell the tale."
"Got spanked and grew up respectful."
A recent Halloween favorite
"Kids are so coddled now a days. (With Toy Story.) When I was kid if your toys came to life they killed your whole family then you."
:lau

Jeeze, people would freak if they saw how I was raised! Barefoot all the time, one of those barefoot, dirty kids ya'll see in the store and think "poor kid" lol! Played with chickens, headbutted goats and kissed toads "never got a single dang prince". My grandma would stick my cousin and I under a nanny goat and that was her babysitting service. Ate anything and everything that grew wild. Jumped fences to ride peoples cows. Swam in the rain barrel. Yep I was DSS's dream child.:gig

Heathers were AWFUL tonight! Ethel wanted to roost "alone" she's going through that moody teenage phase. The other little hens wanted to be up Beavis's butt, it is cold I don't blame them. Hobo is Hobo until everyone finds a spot I have to distract her. She reminds me of an old, scraggly Jerry Springer guest lol! One of those skinny women, hair sticking up everywhere, screaming and throwing shoes. I don't know how something so little and naked can still be so mean.:lau
