Oh and ya'll know Beavis has been laying for a week or so and I hadn't heard her egg song. Well today I heard it and it is AWFUL! Worse than I ever imagined it could be, she sounds like she's being attacked. I hope this changes but I doubt it will.:caf
She is still shocked at what came out of her!

It will get better but sometimes not a much as you would hope!

I have to unplug before my husband divorces me, he's getting an attitude because I think he thinks I like you guys more than I like him (sometimes I do, I'm not gonna lie).

I canNOT stop laughing about your Jeffrey Dahmer freezer Moly, I have this ridiculous magic mushroom grin and my face muscles are starting to hurt. :lauThat seriously made my entire life worth living, thank you from the bottom of my freaky little soul!

Love you all, good night, please may none of us dream about frozen eels and armadillo babies, lol!!! Kisses~

I just found my little frizzled Serama hen trying to commit suicide. I noticed that I didn't see her around this morning for breakfast and this evening I didn't see her anywhere again. So I went looking around for her and found her in the coop shed, which only has 3 walls, trying to go broody on 3 LF eggs that were beside her frozen solid  It's A whole 27° outside and real feel says that it feels like 14°. This the first year that I'm letting the Seramas in coop for the winter but I didn't expect one go hiding outside in this cold :he. With all the wind and cold and snow, I tend keep the coop and run closed to keep the flock warmer (plastic all around the run). That brat must've snuck out yesterday and if I hadn't gone looking for her, she could've ended up freezing to death or starving! She's unhappily in with everyone now and looking like :rant
:barnie They can be very silly when the go broody!

when I started raising chickens for food I figured I should make room in the deep freezer.
Some of the interesting things i found:
A stillborn hedge hog from the 1980's
several small birds that had hit the window and I was going to try and ID... before the internet
a fawn hide and front hooves from the 1980's and 90's
An eel I had caught back in 1970's

Mom always said to keep the freezer full so it used less electricity :gigI use frozen gallon jugs now
Ah I got nothing
