Official Squatch Watchers

I’m just skipping 50 or so posts to ask if anyone can identify this mushroom.

I spend time every morning patrolling my yard for them!

YOUCH!
That's a bad way to start the day! I hope it doesn't go hurting all day.

I am up and reasonably functional.

More wind for us today. I am hoping that I can get some more good fun time outside for the pup. She likes to run and play in the sunshine.

One thing I need to address is a neighbors cat harassing my chickens.
I finally got a good look at the cat yesterday. Its a big buff color cat with a blue collar.
I had been running out several times a day to panic in the coop.......I heard it go over the fence a few times.
Live trap and a ride to the pound. No I don't tolerate loose cats. I get really sick of finding cat poop in my garden beds.
:sick
Omg I am currently confining my chickens because of a floofy Long haired black cat (no collar that I can see) coming in my yard wreaking havoc

Yesterday I chased him away 3 times. He hops the six foot fence like it’s nothing.
And is smart enough to not come around when the dogs are out.

He’s got a lot of entertainment between the bunnies on one side of me, my chickens, and
Then later I hear some birds fussing out front and caught him on my other neighbor’s front porch standing on the back of a chair trying to reach a wren family in her hanging basket.
He ran when I shouted and clapped my hands but stopped and gave me the middle claw at her property line.

Good morning. I have an MRI ordered for friday and my insurance is coming up as inactive. We are changing ins jan 1 but our insurance should be still in effect. Slimeballs.
Time to get on the phone and be the squeaky wheel!

Maybe along these lines.....

I am in absolutely no way any kind of expert.

I would patrol and remove using a bag as hand protection.

We have a bright white here in CO that is super toxic. Even a residue on the hand is enough to kill.

Safety first!

Maybe take it to your ag extension office?

How big are they? In the grass or in wood edgings?

I always bag my hand because I look for them when I’m on poop patrol in the morning.
Hm.... good questions!
Size- about a quarter to fifty cent piece across.
Location- not usually in established grassy areas although occasionally, most often They are in the sandy-er soil, “around the edges”, seem to like pine straw, which might point to them liking more acidic soil, and in areas that have partial sun.

I live on the opposite side of the country as these, and mine are much smaller but the cap color is right on!
