Oh, no. I was feeding the chickens their dinner totally a normal thing around 4ish. Ethel, Rene and Dutch all on my back again a totally normal occurrence. Hubs comes outside, not normal at all. He was fine until he reached towards my back load of pullets it went south from there. Dutch is smart she just jumped off, but Ethel pecked the blood out of his knuckle and Rene was just ungodly screeching at him. Iv'e always worried the rooster might pull some stuff like that but not the pullets. We've had hubs get injured before in much the same way but by baby squirrels.:caf

Too right. There's a reason why I dread band check day. Gloves aren't near enough protection.
So true! Dylan the Parrot hates gloves. If you try to get her to step up with a glove on she will bite. People with gloves have done her wrong in the past, obviously. For chickens, having them tame enough to handle will make it difficult to stuff them in the cone, but not because they are protesting.
