All I have is a digital bathroom scale. First reading said 5.2 second said 4.8. Hard to get a reading

Did you weigh her by herself?
If not you can do it by weighing yourself holding her and not holding her and do the math. Otherwise I’d say she’s a 5 lb chicken.

Everybody I tell about making the roost fatter and less smooth with duct tape automatically assumes I left the sticky side up...why?

I have been green lighted to get a few birds that will actually lay instead of brood all summer and take winter off.

That means I will be selling several birds to make room.
