I put 1 lb of sulfur per 10lbs of dust... or sprinkle a bunch where they dust bathSo my chickens have bugs!!!! What the Pat Crow!!! I caught it early cause only one bird had signs of eggs. But about half of them that I checked had little creepy crawlies running around.
Of course it’s 20* and I can’t get them wet. So I’m going to try and powder them and cross my fingers.I may try a little Elector PSP on the worst ones but that will have to wait till Monday. With a high of 39*. Look out it’s a heat wave!

I think they are mites. There really were not eggs all over the feathers. One FBCM had a dirty butt so I looked her over. She's the only one with the start of eggs. But the bugs themselves looked darker in color. Lice are usually white/off white.

I had one totally infested, bought the stuff to treat and then checked close to 50 birds with no creepy crawly's. Really confused...![]()
Permethrin the crap out of the coop weekly.@Texas Kiki will know what to do.
