Official Squatch Watchers

Mini rant.....

Hubby has scheduled a breakfast with his boss. It is freaking Sunday and time change! I don't want to go.
His bosses wife is rather judgy in an insulting way.
First off she doesn't eat enough to keep a sparrow alive. The last time we went to breakfast with them I ordered an omlet. I really wanted to enjoy that omlet. She makes little comments that clearly indicate she thinks I am eating to much.
Yes I am a big gal at 160# but I HAVE gone down a solid 80# in the last 18 months.
Her comment while I was eating my omlet was rude and hurtful. :(

Mostly I am mad at hubby because I told him I did not want to do breakfast with them again and I explained why.
:rant:rant:rant

I guess I will just order coffee and make an egg sandwich when we get home. :(
LOL if you're a 'big gal' then I'm absolutely huge... I've got almost 30# on you. I remember being 150 and thinking I was plus.. Ahh.... those were the days.
Anyway... I hope the meal went well, and if it didn't you got something good afterward.

:love Thank you for sharing!!!

I survived.

I am going to cook up a storm today. :p
Ham, cheesy potatoes, rolls, Cole slaw and asparagus.
That was the plan for today's food since Wednesday so that's what I am making. :)

We are warm here today (if 35° is warm:rolleyes:).
I let the cochins out of the run. I am sure they could use a good romp in the garden beds.
Yep, 35 is warm... I saw 33 on the tv this morning and though Ooo it's warm this morning. Of course here it was only 30, but that's still warm. We're even supposed to hit 40 today!!!!! Later this week I should be able to leave the pop door open over night so they can get into the big run. I'm really excited!!!

If you're eating or just finished eating stop now ...

With further examination I think little Frannie injured herself somehow. That bigger rounded area that was at the top of the wound had me worried and confused.

But now when I look at it I think she stuck her head where it didn't belong and got it stuck. Then pulled back real hard. When she stands with her head upright it looks like the wound folds in half and touches.
That makes sense for the shape of the hole. Poor thing. She'll just have an odd flap of skin there. Do you see blood anywhere?

I found this salamander today while raking leaves. What a fatty!
 Wow, that's a big salamander!! Very pretty.

Hey guys. I have had a really lazy day. Thing 1’s fever broke early in the morning and he’s been normal ever since. I had a 1.5 hour nap before lunch and a 2.75 hour nap after. I’m on the mend but not normal yet. My 5 roosters/cockerels escaped into the main flock again. Rounding them up, even with FILs help wore me out. I’m back to eating my normal foods, but not in normal amounts yet. I’m trying to take it easy and recover.
Glad you're both feeling better. Have there been anymore coyote sightings?

Hi guys! I'm back from Philly. The flower show was so gorgeous, it got me in the mood for spring!

I bought a few tillandsias (air plants). I am obsessed with these things. Every time I go to the Flower Show I buy them and I always wind up killing them! And they are supposed to be very low maintenance, lol.

How you guys doing? Rae, I'm glad you're feeling better. :D
I kill air plants too. We've managed to keep a couple succulents alive in our apt for about 9 months. I'm very proud that I haven't killed them yet, though I watered them a few times in the past week where they hadn't been touched in months. They just looked so sad and dry.

Here's a few more pics. It was really beautiful and colorful. Ths was the best one I've been to!

Beautiful, I bet it smelled amazing!

Klaus seems to be doing well. I've been spraying her toe w/ vetericyn twice a day. It doesn't look like she's been messing with it so I haven't had to cover it. Since I have just a towel under her I've been cleaning her feet when I change the towel so there isn't poop all over it. Yesterday she laid an egg. I was surprised b/c she been doing a long slow molt so I didn't think she was still laying. I started using a pancake to give her her medicine. She really likes it, I have to give her 2ml each time so the pancake seems to absorb more than a piece of bread. I've been letting her out to walk around a little while I'm cleaning her cage out. She seems to be walking fine sans toe tip.

I think I caught the others fighting over a mouse this morning. Nibbler dropped something and Loki ran to grab it then ran outside with it and everyone chased her.

Tiny human is sick again.. it's getting quite old. IDK if her virus from last week has evolved, or if it's a new germ. She was complaining about her ears when I took her to the dr, & now her throat hurts too, and she's coughing.. no fever. I'm hoping a day in bed will get her back to normal.

And I can't remember if I mentioned it, but I'd been having trouble breathing. I felt like I was suffocating and couldn't take a deep breath so I finally went to the dr. They said my heart rate was fast so they did an ekg b/c shortness of breath is a sign of a heart attack in women.. That was fine, all my blood tests came back fine. I got a chest xray, that I can't get anyone to tell me the results of, & they ordered a pulmonary function test that I couldn't get into until next week. They also wanted me to exercise.. b/c that's what you tell someone when they can't breathe. So naturally, after sleeping 12+ hrs a day over the weekend I'm feeling better and can breathe fairly normally again.

Thanks, I'm not all the way there yet, but getting there. No more coyote sightings recently.

Although, we have seen some bobcats this morning.

I am hoping your small human gets to feeling better. :hugs

I was all "WHAT THE WHAT!?!" at you having trouble breathing so yeah take up excercising!!!

Are they NUTS!?!

That seems a good way to wind up in the hospital for certain!

MANY well wishes for both of you getting better fast.

Eat, eat, eat and screw her if she dosen't like it. The only way you should ever just order coffee is if the food is bad.
Don't suffer just because she's scared of food, you said she's old you'd think she'd fill up while she can!:hmm
