Here is my new Welsummer. She is 6 months old....should start laying soon. I had her separated from my flock. Had her in with my other new girls but she had different plans. She decided she wanted to be with the big girls and so she is. It's like shes always been here. No pecking no fighting no drama whatsoever. Go figure. I have a couple of bantam welsummers and they are so flighty. How is Estelle? She is pretty!

Here's my little Ameraucana.....my DH actually picked her out. I wasn't going to get another Ameraucana but he just fell in love with this little girl. Hes never done that ( well since he fell in love with me.....hehehehe). He and the lady I bought them from named her Priscilla. View attachment 1711454

She is gorgeous!!! How could you not love her?? I will say, I think they are gorgeous birds, but they are sooo loud! I bought several one day, drove 2 hours to get them, and sold them the following day. They gave me a headache. Yet I still bought a chick yesterday.

Pretty good morning so far. Sun is shining, hubs is already gone stumpin and the cat is asleep...perfect!
Speaking of the cat, she bit hubs pretty good last night trying to trim her toenails. I did tell him there was a system, he just didn't listen.

Was about to head out back to let the chickens out to free range. Looked out the back door and saw a huge German Shepard staring back at me Poor birds won't be ranging anytime soon

I have about a year of catching up to do, but I bet someone could brief me in a paragraph.

It is so much easier having a hen raise the chicks. Wow! Day 1 and it already feels like a vacation. The BR is under mom’s wing and all I can see is it’s little beak poking out.

Anyone been on any trips or have any coming up? I will try to catch up on the last couple of days.

Smuv abandoned us for a long time, then made one post and has not been seen since!

I went to the swap today and sold everything i took except one rooster! Truck had a lot of cages in it! And i only bought 2 pairs of bantam cochins!
